All 2018 and newer versions of Quicken entitle users to 5GB of free Dropbox storage while subscription is in effect. Also, third parties will take into consideration items other than your credit score or information found in your credit file, such as your income. Really big updates are coming, Forth says, in "the next version of Quicken."
You can now open your existing company file in your new version of QuickBooks Desktop. QB Pro 2016 is under $200; your data file is now falling further behind. It might be the right time for the new computer to get a new and Supported and QB updated program. I have an older client with Quicken Deluxe 2012 and we did a clean install of Win 10 due to sunset. He doesn't have access to the original 2012 CD so we need to get a newer version to install and import his data file. I'll share the steps on how you can get your QuickBooks license and product number.

Then, open the company file you want to upgrade. Thanks for dropping by the Community. You should have no issues downloading QBDT 2012 to port over the files to a newer version.
There are three ways to see your product info, either in the product information window, camps.intuit.com, or our license tool. Once done, you can now open your existing company file in your new version of QuickBooks Desktop. Open your original version of QuickBooks.

Patzer came in with grand visions and ideas to make Quicken a more modern and relevant app. He planned to integrate Quicken with Mint and rewrite the app from scratch to make it possible for Intuit developers to update it more frequently. And by update it, he meant really improve it, not just add peripheral new features and re-skin the app every year, as they've been doing for about the last 10. I need the product # and License # to install on new computer.
Patzer talked about Quicken going to a subscription model, too; Intuit seems to be no closer to implementing it. QuickBooks will now start to upgrade. Once completed, click Done.
This is what dying software looks like: Quicken 2012
The QuickBooks Community has your back. If you were looking for the system requirements for QuickBooks 2012 for Windows, there was no Intuit article available. I did happen to find the short synopsis of them for you thou. Old computer is having problem.
I'm happy to provide some additional information on the transfer process as well. Make sure your computer meets the system requirements before installing the program. You can use the links within this article if you're using a different version.
I cannot find anywhere in the Report settings or anywhere else to change this. Simply download and install Quicken Subscription . The Download Update button needs to be clicked to initiate the patch download.
Unlike in this public forum, they have the tools required to get the correct authentication code. You may try converting your QBD 2012 company file on QBD 2015 or QBD 2019 prior to opening it on QBD 2020 or 2021. Browse your computer and locate your company file. I am currently using Quicken Home and Business 2012 and it is getting a bit long in the tooth. It no longer updates which is OK with me as it still meets my needs, except the reports don't print properly anymore, they are microscopic, to say the least.
Meanwhile, Quicken 2012 gets a re-skin and some good but hardly ground-breaking updates. It is possible you have a license for QB Desktop 2012 CA version, not US version. The download site only provides the installer file of QBD CA version for 2016 version or later.
That's because Intuit is continuing its policy of "sunsetting" Quicken versions after three years. It only supports the current and previous three versions of the app with online features. Older versions continue to function, but they can't download financial data (transactions, stock prices, etc.) from online services. 3) I don't see I need to pay for features that I will never use.
In the meantime, the recession is doing wonders for Mint's growth, if not Quicken's. "As the market falls, Mint registrations rise," Forth told me. "People worry about having money." And Mint, unlike Quicken, is a free way to track it. It's got a refreshed UI and an option for bigger fonts, Forth tells me. Apparently Quicken's user base is getting so old that Intuit needed to make it into a large-print app. And, frankly, as one of the old guys who's been using Quicken since 1988, and who has, since then, acquired trifocals, I appreciate it. Patzer, though, is no longer running the Quicken group at Intuit.
Instead, Aaron Forth, another Mint executive who came along with the acquisition, is at the wheel. Even after Intuit acquired Mint and its executives, the company keeps bouncing the personal finance app Quicken around.
